Phantom Creep Theatre are NYC horror hosts and spook show performers.

Their twisted roots stretch back to 2005 in Coney Island USA, with the Silver Scream Spook Show, who were the first ghost masters to bring spook shows back from the dead after the genre’s demise in the 1970s. Creatures were conjured on stage flying over audiences’ heads for the first time in over a generation!

In 2011 they evolved into the 8mm Movie Matinee, short attention span horror theater madness based in the East Village, featuring the Mighty Moloch, Hypno Corpse, Pop, Ek the Ghoul, Projectobot, Frankenbot, and Isadora Spivey.

The troupe returned to Coney Island USA in 2012, with Phantom Creep Theatre, a more feature length-version of the 8mm Movie Matinee content and replicating more exactly spook shows formats of the 1930s and 1940s. They have performed with a revolving casket of characters at the NecronomiCon in Providence, the Morbid Anatomy Museum, Nitehawk Cinema, the Bowery Electric, monthly from 2014 through 2018 as Phantom Creep Radio at Otto’s Shrunken Head, but always slinking back to Coney Island USA as the summer season starts to sizzle.
